Oh! Don't you just want to put him in your pocket and take him home and make him your grandpa?

Today's quote goes to Annie, who was referring to a professor at BYU. It was funnier with actions.

Alert faithful readers! This will be my last post until this weekend, because tomorrow we are heading for Durham, Ambleside and SCOTLAND! Don't worry Mummy, I will be on the hunt for something amazing and plaid for you. :)
So. Friday after class we decided to throw academics to the wind and go shopping. I've been holding off for awhile, and there's this amazing store called Primark that's like Black Friday every day but has really cute/cheap stuff, so I bought a couple of classy (I think) but inexpensive things, which I'm sure will be appearing in pictures soon, so keep an eye out. I bought things that are unlike anything I own, and I feel a little like Audrey Hepburn when I wear them. Anything goes in Europe, right?
Friday night I did something that may have been silly, but which was fun. I decided that I needed to see Spamalot in England even though I saw it in Utah. Still funny, and I went with some very funny people, so it was a good time. We got there earlier than we meant to, so we popped in this "little" bookshop that turned out to be giant and awesome on the inside, and I got something amazing that is remaining a secret because it might end up as Treb's birthday present.

It was.

Saturday I had planned to go to Oxford with some people, but I decided last minute to instead go to the opera (La Boheme for 5 pounds? Very yes.) and do my Poli Sci midterm. The opera was wonderful (although I think somewhat underappreciated by my fellow patrons) and we didn't have to stand the whole time as we'd expected. I think I need to get into opera a little. Treb? You seem the most likely person to have some of this, but maybe I'm wrong.

Chilling at the Royal Opera House, and following my "You can wear anything in Europe" theory, sporting stripes and polka dots together.

I also made a post-opera trip to Queensway because I'm afraid I'm going to destroy my yellow purse hauling it around everywhere. I had my first haggling experience for this time around! I talked the guy down about 8 pounds for a pretty sweet bag. I probably could have talked him down more, but it seemed petty to haggle over a pound or two and I'm new to this.
Also, somewhere in the evening we definitely watched The Bourne Ultimatum because of the scene in Waterloo station. We're thinking of writing a Bourne walk and leaving it for future participants.
Today was an average Sunday except that I taught in nursury. My kids are adorable, as evidenced below.
Sweet Seth, our Bishop's son.
Seth and Zach during activity time.

So now I'm going to pack, and you'll hear from me again next weekend, when I'll regail you with tails of the land northward. Don't miss me too much.

Also, for the record, the reason I haven't uploaded to facebook recently is that it has been giving me fits. I'll try again when I get back. Sorry. I'm putting the best pictures here.

Oh, I loved shopping on Bond Street! I bought some fabulous shoes at a store called Barratts. I love your "anything goes" outfit. I remember seeing Bourne in theaters right after I got home from London, which was really exciting since I had just been there. Have fun in Scotland!
