"Just abduct someone and get it over with!"

Today's quote honors go to Mallory about 5 seconds ago. We've been listening to a car alarm going off for about 10 minutes now, but it sounds a little like an alien abduction, and we're tired of it.
And it just went off! Awesome.
Yesterday was the famous George Chittock-guided walk through the country. It's about 10 miles of hiking/walking through mud and grass and flowers and hops, and I love it. I don't know what to say about it except that it was several hours of exercise, good company, and beautiful countryside culminating in lemon lavender bread and lavender ice cream. That's right. We finished the walk at the Kentish Lavender Festival, and it was unbelievable. Here are some pictures:

Stalking in the wheat with Cami. (Get it?)

Our fearless guides, Harry and George. Notice Harry's t-shirt.

Playing in the Norman castle at Eynsford.

Hiding in the secret passageway with Erin

Laughing at the people who got in the freezing water. (I didn't. Trying to avoid the pestilence going around here.

Quaint little cottages

Poppies!

Lavender!

My beloved lavender bread. I was so happy when I found this again.

The lavender is beautiful, but I had no idea it made delicious bread and ice cream.

See, I missed out on that. I was having serious issues with allergies (and the Queen's fake birthday was the same Saturday...). :(

Aw, Harry and George. They switched names on us the first day Zac and I taught Sunday school, and to be truthful, I still can't remember - for sure - which is which. :S
